| Orphaned Record Test Without Testing All Files |
| Answer / Solution |
There is a way to circumvent the testing of all files when you want to do an orphaned record test. SOLUTION: THIS IS NOT RECOMMENDED IN MOST CASES! THE FACT THAT YOU GET AN ORPHANED RECORD IN THE FIRST PLACE USUALLY REQUIRES TEST FILES AND REINDEX AND OPTIMIZE BE PERFORMED TO WORK OUT ANY ISSUES IN THE DATABASE TABLES. To circumvent the testing of all files when you just want to run the Orphaned Record:
1) In the Test/Fix Files window uncheck "ALL DATABASE FILES"
2) Put a check in "ORPHANED RECORDS" 3) Click on the TEST button and you should get a list of files. 4) Put a check in front of the AJ file.
5) Click on the REPAIR button. Now the program will just run a test on the AJ file and continue from there to the Orphaned Record test on all files that need that test.
